Welcome to LCMA Band
I am looking forward to working with you and know we will have an excellent year. Cooperation and hard work is essential between band students, the director, band parents and administration in achieving our goals. To achieve success, we must all work together, establish high ideals, and do out very best work.
Music is a demanding subject, and if mastered, will produce a lifetime of benefits that improve the quality of one’s life, More than any other subject, music has the power to touch the mind and spirit of those who perform and listen.
The Band Boosters are an active group of parent volunteers who support our band.
Please join us, get involved, and have fun!

Music Advocacy - Keep Music in your Schools

Music is one of the seven intelligences identified in the brain and the only one that utilizes all seven intelligences simultaneously. Thus, students who participate in music courses exercise more of their brain than in any other course they take in school.
The benefits conveyed by music education can be grouped into four categories:
Success in society
Success in school
Success in developing intelligence
Success in life
